Network & infrastructure

A network is either invisible or in the way. We design, install and manage the layer everything else depends on, measured on site rather than estimated from a floor plan.

In short
  • Structured cabling from CAT6 upwards, documented patch panels and cabinets.
  • Wi-Fi with UniFi, with coverage measured in the building itself.
  • Routing, firewalling and VPN with MikroTik, monitored around the clock.
  • Fibre connections plus optional automatic 5G failover.
  • Camera surveillance with Hikvision and network-connected access control.

What is included

From cabinet to access point

Cabling and cabinets

CAT6 and above, labelled and documented. A tidy cabinet is not cosmetic; it decides how fast a fault is found.

Wi-Fi that holds up

Coverage measured in rooms, corridors and halls. Steel, concrete and refrigeration change the picture, so we survey before we quote.

Routing and firewalling

MikroTik for routing, firewall rules, VPN and traffic policies, with segmentation between office, production, guests and cameras.

Connectivity

Fibre where available, with advice on capacity per location and whether a second line or 5G failover is worth the investment.

Camera surveillance

Hikvision cameras for entrances, yards and shared areas, with retention periods set deliberately rather than by default.

Monitoring

Availability, load and errors watched 24 hours a day, with tickets created automatically for critical faults.

Why segmentation

What segmentation actually prevents

  • An incident in the administration cannot reach production machines or the point of sale.
  • Guest Wi-Fi never touches company data, and neither do personal devices.
  • Payment terminals sit in their own segment, which makes questions from your payment provider easy to answer.
  • Older machines that can no longer be patched are isolated and monitored more closely.
  • Cameras and access control run separately, with their own access rules and retention.
Continuity

For sites where downtime is expensive we calculate the cost of an hour without connectivity first. That number decides whether redundancy and failover are justified.

Frequently asked questions

Do you also work in older buildings?

Yes, and that always starts with a survey. Thick walls and legacy cabling determine what is actually needed.

Can you improve Wi-Fi without replacing everything?

Often, yes. Placement and configuration explain more problems than hardware age does.

Do you manage the network after installation?

Yes. Monitoring, changes and firmware updates are part of the management agreement.

Can you work outside production hours?

Yes. Disruptive work is scheduled in the windows available, including evenings and weekends.
